Rural Development in India

India is a lovely country where nearly 75% of the population resides in rural areas. There is great immense of tresure in terms of talent and skills in the various states in rural areas also. Each area is gifted with a special skill and resources only waiting to be explored and utilized in a constructive way.

In the North India, in the valleys of Himalays, one can enjoy the benefits of eco-tourism, river rafting,  view the lovely hills, enjoy sunrise and sunset and also see the valuable craft items prepared by women  and men in rural areas. As you move down to the dessert in Rajasthan, one can see the colorful, ethnic traditional crafts – tie & dye, block printing, mirror work of Rajasthan and Gujarat make anyone spellbound and tourist flourish to explore the lifestyle and culture of rural India. In Central India one can view the stone craft, wood craft, metal work and offcourse the traditional monuments at several small towns speak of the rich Indian Heritage & culture. Many of these ancient monuments at these cities are also declared by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. South India is again a hub of ancient craft and culture. Yoga, mediation, and ancient medicinal techniques, were a creation of some skillful people in these areas. As one travels from North to Central to South or West, anyone can experience the amalagamation of several customs, cuisines, culture and explore the wealth of rich Indian traditional culture in Rural India.
